Horse-drawn Carriage Ride in Ghimeș

Discover the hidden world of Ghimeș Valley on a horse-drawn carriage to absorb the local atmosphere.

During this ride, you will meet a local family who has still kept its traditional folkways and knowledge of living in harmony with nature.

A part of the family is moving during summer to "kaliba" in the mountains with the cows, where they prepare their own cheese, create popular musical instruments, show with great pride and joy the Czech dances and songs, and, when requested, they cook traditional recipes with the ingredients harvested directly from the garden.

During this ride, you can enjoy the picturesque landscape, valleys and meadows covered with wild flowers (especially in June) and dense forests around the village.

Depending on your interest and weather conditions, we may include a visit to the Iavardi Waterfall or to a local craftsmen workshop.

In winter when there is enough snow, the ride is made with sleigh.

The ride fare includes a picnic of local products.
